The workout was 5-6 x 1600m with equal rest, and goal pace at 4:40 - 4:46. The guys were split into two main groups, although the paces were nearly identical in each group. First group was Goutos, Laemel, Dooney, The Villain, and myself. Second group was Richards, Thwaites, Kirtner, Richardson, Cunetta, McGowan, and Sandry. At the end of the day, 9 of us did all 6 reps, a few did less, everyone averaged 4:45 or under for all 6. Personally, I felt pretty solid on the first 3 (4:42, 4:42, 4:43), started hurting on the 4th (4:42), nearly pushed it all out on the 5th (4:39), and backed off a bit on the last (4:51). Meanwhile, Demetri and The Villain dropped the hammer on the last one, D coming in at 4:34 and The Villain close behind in 4:37 or so.

Lastly, but a bit off-topic, Ass Lazer bassist and last year's Yale Track & Field captain Quiet Storm (aka Jeff Perella) has a blog, the genius of which I often aspire to emulate in my own posts. You can read it here. Quiet is currently running for America and teaching for Saucony (no, that was not a mistake), and documents in his blog the valiant struggle of being a smokin' fast runner while also owning up to the post-collegiate life (aka work).
